Isabelle McGee, soon to be Isabelle Herrscher, is the author and founder of Bayou Bound Books, an independent publishing brand rooted in Southern Gothic horror, Louisiana folklore, and honest storytelling. She grew up in South Louisiana where the stories are older than anyone alive to tell them. In May 2026 she left bartending behind to pursue Bayou Bound Books full time with no backup plan and no guaranteed income, just a deep belief that these stories matter and that the right readers are out there waiting for them.
