Introducing The Bayou Archive: A Southern Gothic Short Story and Authentic Louisiana Recipe Every Month

Title: "Introducing The Bayou Archive: A Southern Gothic Short Story and Authentic Louisiana Recipe Every Month"

"If you have been following Bayou Bound Books for a while you already know that Southern Gothic fiction and Louisiana culture are at the heart of everything I create. Today I want to introduce you to something I built specifically to bring that world to life every single month.

What Is The Bayou Archive?

The Bayou Archive is a monthly digital download available exclusively at Bayou Bound Books. Every first of the month I release a new issue that pairs an original Southern Gothic short story with an authentic Louisiana recipe for just $5. You keep both forever. Read the story as many times as you want. Make the recipe whenever the mood hits.

This is not a subscription. There is no commitment. Each issue stands completely on its own.

What Makes The Bayou Archive Different

A lot of things come with the label Southern Gothic these days but very few of them are actually rooted in the South. I am from South Louisiana. The swamps, the food, the folklore, and the culture I write about are not aesthetic choices, they are home.

The recipes inside The Bayou Archive are not the versions you are going to find on Google or Pinterest. These are passed down, authentic South Louisiana kitchen recipes with real history and real people behind them. They come from the kind of kitchens where nobody wrote anything down because nobody thought they needed to.

The stories are original Southern Gothic fiction that live in that same world. Dark, atmospheric, deeply human, and rooted in Louisiana.

Issue No. 1: Mae's Peach Cobbler

The first issue of The Bayou Archive is called Mae's Peach Cobbler. Inside you will find an original Southern Gothic short story and a passed down authentic Louisiana peach cobbler recipe that has been in a real South Louisiana family for generations

Prep time is dusk. Cook time is until golden. Some recipes are not about feeding the living.

Issue No. 1 is available now for $5. Grab it here: https://www.bayouboundbooks.com/shop/p/the-bayou-archive-issue-no-1

Who Is The Bayou Archive For?

The Bayou Archive is for readers who love Southern Gothic fiction and want something they can hold onto. It is for people who are curious about Louisiana culture, folklore, and food. It is for anyone who has ever felt like the South has a darkness to it that most people do not talk about out loud. It is for the readers who know that a good story and a good recipe both deserve to be passed down.
